4/29/2026: our research poster "Comparative Analysis of Al-based Coding Assistants for Database Management Systems", authored by Lauren Schneider, Daniel Freer, Hunter Deloach, Dr. Denis Ulybyshev, won the Second Place Award in the Computer Science Undergraduate Research Poster competition held at the Florida Poly Research Day 2026! 

4/20/2026: Our "SCAMS" research team (Matthew Rigg, Megan Ruiz, Robert Grant, and Dr. Denis Ulybyshev)  participated in the Spring 2026 Game Expo at Florida Polytechnic University and presented an educational computer game "SoCial Engineering Attack SiMulatorS (SCAMS)". This computer game teaches players about different types of social engineering attacks and protection techniques. This game was also presented by Matthew Rigg at the IEEE Engineering and Science Student Research Symposium 2026 at Florida Polytechnic University. 

12/1/2025: Dr. Ulybyshev's IEEE Membership status has been elevated to IEEE Senior Member

9/16/2025: Full patent "Systems and methods for cyber risk assessment for computing systems" (collaborative work with colleagues from Tennessee Tech University filed in 2023) is approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
